KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand written or oral brief from client (business problem)

Ensure Data Veracity as per problem brief; detect and flag anomalies or errors to Project Manager

Hypothesis building

Statistical model development and ensuring statistical hygiene of models

Follow process to ensure accuracy and deliver projects as per timelines

Write model findings with simple insights which make marketing sense

Try different things to get to the best solution

Train younger team members on the process

Use visualization in Excel / PowerBI to prepare analytics results for clients

Use basic programming to automate simple repetitive tasks in Excel Macros / VBA / R / Python
ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Strong mathematical aptitude

Ability to think logically and solve issues - trouble-shoot problems in code or try a different approach if something is not working in the defined process

Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) are essential

Ability to document analysis (data and model findings) and simple processes

Good attitude and willingness to learn new things and experiment to get to the best solution

Should be a strong team player - work closely with team-mates and Project Manager

Willingness to stretch to deliver to tight schedules

Demonstrate independence in planning own work and executing it on time and with good quality
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have consistent scholastic performance

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from premiere institute OR Graduate or Post-Graduate in Statistics

Experience and knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, Powerpoint is a must

Any programming knowledge will be an added advantage. Python / R skills preferred
PRIOR EXPERIENCE

3- 5 years of relevant experience (Market Mix Modeling)

Knowledge of data analytics will be an added advantage
