1.Construction I&C(Instrumentation and Control)設備の計画, 設置導入, 試運転(性能検査)
  • 現状の負荷を把握し, 将来計画(新棟建設含む)を見据えたI&C設備計画
  • 新技術動向把握ならびに技術的改善提案, 技術的VE提案
  • 社内顧客の要求をまとめた仕様書のとりまとめ(Elec, Mech, UPW/WWT, Gas, Chemical, Security, Office, IT等々)
  • 設備性能検査方法の決定
  • 法令, 規制(社内規格含む)に順守した設計, 許認可
  • 安全衛生基準• 環境基準の理解と遵守した設計
  • トラブル発生時に技術的な対策及び横展開

  • 設備制御, PLC制御の実務経験(3年以上)

Position Summary
The Construction I&C (Instrumentation and Control) Engineer is responsible for understanding semiconductor manufacturing processes, facility operations, and production flows within Fab 15 and applying that knowledge to design, implement, and optimize monitoring systems, control systems, instrumentation, and sensor technologies for new construction and facility expansion projects.
This role is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and optimized control solutions while executing various capital and facility projects. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, resolve operational issues, optimize system performance, and reduce operating costs through effective application of instrumentation and control expertise.
In addition, this position plays a critical role in reducing safety risks, preventing incidents and accidents, and creating a safe, healthy, and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning, Installation, Commissioning, and Performance Validation of I&C Systems
  • Evaluate current facility and production system loads and develop I&C infrastructure plans that support future expansion projects, including new fab construction.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and provide technical improvement and value engineering (VE) recommendations.
  • Develop and consolidate technical specifications based on the requirements of internal stakeholders, including Electrical, Mechanical, UPW/WWT, Gas, Chemical, Security, Office, and IT organizations.
  • Define performance testing and validation methodologies for new systems.
  • Ensure designs and implementation activities comply with applicable regulations, permits, and internal standards.
  • Design systems that comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Develop technical countermeasures and corrective actions for system failures and drive implementation across the organization.
  • Evaluate, review, and challenge vendor designs and technical proposals.
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, space requirements, and safety performance.
  • Perform risk assessments and FMEA analyses throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Maintenance and Operational Support
  • Develop training materials and training programs for operations and maintenance teams.
  • Lead maintenance improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving activities.
  • Support troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and operational issue resolution.
  • Apply statistical methods and data-driven analysis to improve quality and system performance.

3. Cost Optimization
  • Drive reductions in operational costs, including energy conservation and resource efficiency initiatives.

4. Risk Reduction and Safety Improvement
  • Reduce operational risks and drive initiatives aimed at eliminating incidents, accidents, and unplanned system failures.

5. Continuous Improvement
  • Lead productivity improvement initiatives and technical value engineering (VE) activities.

6. Global Collaboration
  • Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and meetings conducted in English with global stakeholders.

7. Technical Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and share technical expertise and best practices throughout the organization.

8. Technical Documentation
  • Prepare technical reports and contribute to technical publications and knowledge-sharing activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering, including SCADA-based monitoring systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment control systems and PLC programming/control.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Process Automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, including virtual servers, Windows-based systems, storage platforms, databases, and networking technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, CAD software, and other standard computer tools.
  • General knowledge of safety, fire protection, environmental protection, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to visualize complex problems and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage schedules, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills based on scientific and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to effectively report, communicate, and escalate issues when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, facility systems, and production operations.
  • Basic English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools (such as Microsoft Copilot and similar technologies) to improve the efficiency of design reviews, troubleshooting, data analytics, technical documentation, and project management activities related to PLC, SCADA, BMS, FMCS, and other monitoring and control systems.
  • Evaluate AI-generated control logic, design recommendations, anomaly detection results, engineering analyses, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with SEMI, IEC, NFPA, FM Global standards, Japanese regulations, and Micron engineering standards.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and digital technologies to improve equipment reliability, enable predictive maintenance, optimize operations, increase system availability, and reduce operating costs.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment and critical thinking when validating AI-assisted recommendations, analyses, calculations, anomaly diagnoses, and technical decisions.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to adopt emerging AI and digital technologies and promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation across facility and manufacturing systems.
