Job Description
The ETS Connectivity Delivery Manager (CDM) will be a key resource in the ETS Delivery Management organization, as the key interface between the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) and the Infrastructure Platform (IP) organizations for the delivery of Electronic Trading Connectivity. The primary responsibility of the ETS CDM is to manage venue & business partner connectivity with responsibilities across the connectivity lifecycle including onboarding, maintenance and offboarding, In the dispatch of these duties, the CDM wears many hats, including that of Relationship Manager, Technical Project Manager, Service Manager, Technical Expert, eTrading SME & Commercial Manager.
Job responsibilities
- Relationship Manager
- Interfacing with CIB & Business Partners (BP's) to review and process all connectivity requests.
- Informing the CIB of delivery status, escalating to resolve blockers as needed.
- Proactively advising the CIB on internal & external vectors that might impact or influence timeframes for completion of connectivity.
- Managing the interface to other teams within ETS, and to other technology teams in the wider IP organization.
- Technical Project Manager
- Traditional CDM duties such as request review/processing, scheduling meetings, partnering with providers & business partners, reporting & providing status
- Familiarity with the Agile framework (eg Scrum, Sprint)
- Experience with Change Management frameworks (eg Change Control, Remedy, Service Now)
- Service Manager
- Comply with service-level, reporting & tracking duties across platforms such as JIRA, Ariba, MS Project, Excel, etc.
- Technical Expert
- Expertise in networking, implementation and support of technology infrastructure - including facilities and IP/routing (eg unicast, multicast, NAT).
- Steering or participation in change events, with expectation of working evening or weekend change windows
- eTrading SME
- Familiarity with Electronic Trading, and knowledge of liquidity centers, colocation facilities, proximity infrastructure builds and Equities & Fixed Income trading.
- Commercial Manager
- Responsible for soliciting sales orders from providers, raising JIRA's for connectivity requests, forecasting yearly growth and managing all aspects of delivery.
- Interfacing with vendors & service providers involved in the delivery of connectivity, infrastructure (Hardware, Managed Service & SmartHands).
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- University Degree (Bachelors or Masters) or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical project management, implementation and/or support role as a hands-on specialist in connectivity and/or networking
- Minimum 5 years experience in an IT role at a Commercial or Investment Bank
- Working knowledge of electronic trading and connectivity solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
- Team player adept at collaborating with internal & external parties to develop ideal solution for the business
- Strong decision maker, with transparent & timely communication & follow-up
- Excellent active listening, writing, speaking, negotiation, presentation and facilitation skills
- Contract management experience
- Flexible, hands on and able to work in a fast paced, high pressure, client-focused and collaborative environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2 years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and clients
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
