Connected Commerce PMO

Mars has begun a wide-ranging marketing transformation project, focused on developing a new Agency ecosystem across the business. Petcare and Mars Snacking is key within this transformation. Mars has a significant share of current investment, and a variety of future-facing businesses that operate with a mix of established and nascent consumer models. With the key focus of creating a channel-less approach to consumer interactions to have a seamless experience where mediums fade into the background. This role must ensure that the Agency Ecosystem transformation enables the continued growth of Mars Petcare & Snacking brands, Mars Veterinary Health and Direct to Consumer brands, and creates a connected Pet Parent & snacking consumer & shopping experience across the Mars portfolio.  

What are we looking for?

Project management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager.

Experience running commercial marketing projects at scale.

What will be your key responsibilities? 

This Project Management (PM) role is pivotal in ensuring this project is planned and managed clearly, enabling Pet Nutrition and Mars Snacking to meet its internal needs whilst aligning to the wider Mars transformation project timings.

Creating & Owning Change Project Plan

The Associate will lead the development and implementation of a Pet Nutrition & Mars Snacking Connected Commerce Project plan to support the enterprise-wide Agency Ecosystem review process and implementation. This includes defining project scope, KPIs, goals and deliverables, creating a project schedule and timeline, defining tasks and allocating required resources.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

As part of the change project, the Associate is responsible for building and maintaining working relationships with the Agency Ecosystem core team, Mars Global Team PMOs, external Connected Commerce partners, Subject Matter Experts for e-Commerce, Shopper Marketing, Consumer Promotions across local, regional & global teams and other Petcare & Mars Snacking business leads as required.

Landscape Review

As part of the change project, the Associate is responsible for a detailed internal Mars landscape assessment vs external benchmarking covering latest definition, future developments people, process and technology. To cover all elements of Connected Commerce – e-Commerce, Omni Shopper Marketing, Omni Consumer Promotions.

Project Efficiency & Effectiveness

The Associate will work with other project PMOs to analyse the project plans and identify the most efficient and effective way to deliver the project objectives. 

Project reporting & tracking

The Associate will be responsible for organizing and leading regular team project meetings with the aim of capturing project progress KPIs, identifying any opportunities or blockers. Communicate project updates to stakeholder groups as needed, detailing progress as well as problems and solutions, including updates to senior leadership.
