Job Description

Job title:
The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for managing design changes, configuration records, BOM baselines, and PLM workflows to ensure compliant, traceable, and efficient product development within a regulated healthcare environment.

Your role:

  • Design change review board chairman, organize CCB meeting to track CR across the whole process, coordinate multi-site change if necessary. Responsible for overseeing the evaluation and approval of change requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, responsible for the end-result of the change process and maintaining product quality.

  • Responsible for change management activities of Planning and Reporting. Facilitates PLM tool workflow of the Design Change Notice.

  • Has end-to-end responsibility to ensure all activities and tasks have been implemented, documented, and released to resolve the change.

  • Review and process changes to records (i.e., product development documentation, engineering drawings, Engineering BOMs, etc.) made via change orders.

  • Responsible for configuration items, configuration status accounting, change control records and documents, BOM baseline during product development and audit.

  • Very familiar with design change Procedures, Process, report template, work instruction and relevant procedures in QMS.

  • Serve as domain expert on PLM Tools (e.g. Agile, Windchill, SAP). initiate license requests for new tools users and train them on tool access and usage.

  • Capable of gaining opportunity or raising request to improve tool, process, way of working, initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering management or Information management and information systems, or other similar fields.

  • Lifecycle working experience, either in configuration management or product lifecycle management, healthcare industry background preferred.

  • Strong working experience in PLM tools (e.g Agile, Windchill, SAP).

  • Familiar with Product development Process, Product lifecycle/Data management, knowledge of CMMI is better to have.

  • Self-motivated and strong learning skills.

  • Problem Solving/Conflict Management skills.

  • Thinking and expressing in logical way, with capability and willing to optimize WoW and improve constantly.

  • Fluent English speaking and writing.

  • Teamwork spirit with demonstrated ability to work in a global team.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering management, information management and information systems, or similar field
  • 5+ years working experience in configuration management or product lifecycle management
  • Strong working experience in CM/PLM tools (e.g. Agile PLDM, SAP)
  • Very familiar with CM procedures, processes, report templates, work instructions and QMS
  • Familiarity with product development process and product lifecycle/data management
  • Ability to serve as domain expert on PLDM tools, initiate license requests, and train users
  • Fluent English speaking and writing
  • Self-motivated with strong learning skills
