What's the Role?
We are seeking a hard-working ServiceNow CMDB Engineer who will be working under minimal supervision, focusing on larger and complex projects. Demonstrates an advanced understanding of Discovery, Service Mapping, Common Service Data Model, and CMDB and comprehend the impact of their work on others. Someone with a solid grasp of general scripting and conduct regular system maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization to ensure the stability and reliability of ServiceNow ITOM solutions. They excel in requirements gathering, customer-centric thinking, and aligning technical objectives with business objectives. They stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in IT Operations Management and ServiceNow platform to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cumulative of prior level plus following:
  • Develop, maintain and execute on disaster recovery / redundancy strategies.
  • Subject Matter Expert of one or more technology Domains.
  • Partnering with vendors and enterprise teams on emerging best practices, patterns and technology.
  • Proactively learn emerging platforms and related technology.
  • Ability to solve complex technical issues and enable/teach peers to be self sufficient.
  • Establish and maintain best practices as it relates to compliance, security, privacy and legal requirements.
  • Anticipate deviations from standard practices and find practical ways to move forward.
  • Closely follow industry trends relevant to your domain and understand how to apply them to your work as appropriate.
  • Break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable ones, and help others to do the same.
  • Understand what tools are available and useful for your domain, how they work, and the sorts of situations and problems for which they're useful.
  • Use them effectively and teach them to your teammates.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of professional IT experience.
  • Proven ability with at least one OS/hosting platform.
  • Demonstrated ability in performance tuning of application stacks.
  • Experience with Cloud based PaaS and SaaS platforms and integration points to On Prem infrastructure.
  • 5+ years experience with virtualization and containerization.
  • 5 years experience with monitoring and performance management of systems.
  • 5 years experience with Scripting development.
  • 5 years experience with networking knowledge.
  • 3-5 years experience with Identity Platform and tools.
  • 2 years experience with modern development and scripting languages.
  • Experience with CICD concepts, and tools, branching strategies and leveraging knowledge to assist in delivering an infrastructure as a product.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills within area of expertise, and solid troubleshooting in adjacent domains.
  • Solid understanding of traditional or cloud computing technologies including Networking, Compute, Storage, Development, Data, Operations, or Security.
  • 4 years experience in one of the following (AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows) administration and configuration.
  • Experience with multiple delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$90,930.00
Pay Range - End:
$168,870.00
