Position Summary/Objectives of Incumbent:
The purpose of this position is to carry our mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of LCC products from within Vertiv’s product portfolio and from third party suppliers, as planned and directed by the LCC Supervisor
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure EHS risk is identified and controlled for a activities. 
  • Maintain a workplace free from hazards. 
  • Ensure good housekeeping across the site.
  • Carry out assembly, configuration and testing of AC/DC power systems, within the scope of the technician’s competency and experience.
  • Supervision of internal testing progress and responsible for the testing and configuration of the equipment before dispatch 
  • Take all steps necessary to ensure complete security and maintenance of the Company’s equipment, documentation, materials and reject non-conforming materials.
  • Analyse test results and preparing test reports documenting the results of the verification activities, conclusions, and recommendations to the Engineering Team.
  • Assisting the development & design teams with defect resolution.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills and have ability to prioritise multiple tasks with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Ensure that a level of competence is maintained as required by the applicant for a high level of technical aspects; to adequately work with minimum supervision, training is available for personal growth within the company.
  • Ability in managing production of DC/AC Power systems or maintenance operations, planning workloads & leading a team. Also, reviewing production progress in daily basis with LCC Supervisor, Supply chain, Engineering Team, Sales Team, Associate Directors and Project Manager’s to ensure daily production targets are met as effectively and efficiently as possible.

WHS, Environment & Quality:

  • Ensure site induction, training and competency requirements are up to date for all workers including contractors.
  • Maintain the EHS Risk Register for all relevant site activities.
  • Comply with Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations management system.
  • Actively promote and lead a positive culture and sustainable EHS practices in the workplace Report all incidents and Good Catch reports to supervisor.
  • Conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections and ensuring relevant EHS policies and SWMS are followed.

Education/Qualification:    

  • Trade qualification or Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering with NSW Electrical Supervisor or Contractor License 

Practical Experience:     

  • Ability to work with new products, processes, tools, and technologies

Personal Characteristics: 

  • Interpersonal skills and Prioritisation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, Power BI Desktop, MS Teams.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Attention to detail
