General Qualifications:
- Computer Scientist Level 1 requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test.
- Computer Scientist Level 2 requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university and 5-10 years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test.
- Computer Scientist Level 3 requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university and 10+ years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test.
- Four (4) years of additional experience in software and firmware design, development, and test may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field of expertise may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
