Under limited supervision, handles a wide range of tasks of varying complexity including monitoring online and stand-alone systems, communication links, large-scale computers, and their associated peripheral devices. Operates efficiently and maintains laser printer systems. Must possess the ability to command system consoles and satisfy processing requirements. Assists in and coordinates testing and implementation of newly developed cycles and processes. Processes daily test and production jobs to satisfy user needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

2nd Shift

  • Monitors and manages nightly job schedules and takes corrective actions to ensure cycle completion. Includes monitoring of the Tidal Enterprise Scheduler.

  • Ensures cycle jobs are complete according to customer service-level-agreements

  • Interprets production system documentation for proper execution and proper job restart procedures. Assist Application programmers with job restarts and problem resolutions.

  • Monitors nightly application backups

  • Participate in the annual and semi-annual Audit process of mission-critical applications

  • Operates and controls Canon printers for accurate printing and delivery to clients. Performs check printing

  • Prints business reports and output while monitoring for excellent print quality.

  • Handles incoming Help Desk calls to address user concerns

  • Responsible for testing of newly developed processes prior to moving applications into production.

  • Prepares procedure documentation of new processes, applications, and department practices for shift turnover

  • Prepares and maintains detailed and accurate problem logs of all system and application activities

  • Monitors and maintains inventory of department forms, office supplies, and equipment tangibles.

  • May be required to work on other shifts or to cover for Operator on other shifts as necessary. 

  • All other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum two-year previous related experience in a high volume Operations servicing environment. Must possess two years of experience with Company processing systems and display the knowledge to perform tasks and assignments of all three shifts.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop written communications relating to the department's “Standard Operating Procedures”.

  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with high-speed, high-volume printer environment is required. 

  • Proven ability to work well in a high visibility, publicly oriented environment with little or no supervision. 

  • Proven ability to train others in department functions and tasks. 

  • Must be able to consistently meet established schedules and deadlines. 

  • Ability to interact with customers of all levels, in a professional manner. 

  • May be required to work any shift as the department deems necessary. Overtime and backup coverage may be required, on short notice.


 

The expected hiring range for this position is $25.79 - $32.25 hourly for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.


Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
