The Computer Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day operation of enterprise technology services by providing timely resolution of user issues, maintaining system reliability, and supporting technology deployments. Through technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, the Computer Operations Specialist delivers dependable IT support and contributes to a positive end-user experience.General Responsibilities • Assists with routine tasks, that are commonly associated with operating a computer in accordance with detailed instructions • Coordinates on-site desktop support to business with PC Hardware/software needs • Assists, develops and communicates technical, systems and application standards and ensures compliance with existing standards • Participates the maintenance of systems through completing documentation for testing and validation • Performs post-implementation support, identifying root cause with strategic solutions to problems • Works with vendors to analyze and troubleshoot solutions • Help identify new solutions and services for the desktop support team that align with business objectives • Participate in the training of fellow desktop administrators in organizational processes Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Business ethics - Ability to practice and behave consistently and effectively in areas of business practice and conflicts of interest • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis • Customer Orientation - Ability to meet customers’ expectations by identifying and anticipating customers’ needs and integrating these into work; ability to develop new added value for customers and act with the customer in mind • Result orientation - Ability to take steps personally to ensure that mutual goals and performance targets are met within the appropriate timeframe • Teamwork - Ability to work with others and work synergistically with fellow team-members • Planning and Organizing - Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and schedules in all areas to meet requirements • Problem solving - Ability to reach logical conclusions to situations by appropriately analyzing the situation.
