Job Summary:As a Compliance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in overseeing the MaineGeneral Health Compliance Program, supporting departments with expert guidance and ensuring alignment with the federal and state regulations.

Job Description:

What you will do: 
•    Act as a compliance resource, staying current on regulations and offering clear guidance.
•    Audit clinical documentation and revenue cycle processes, recommending and monitoring corrective actions.
•    Develop and deliver compliance education across all workforce levels.
•    Research coding, billing, and documentation requirements to support departments.

What you need to have:
•    The position requires exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a commitment to process improvement.
•    Regulations are complex and always changing. It’s important to have solid research skills to find reliable sources to uncover information and answer stakeholder questions quickly and accurately.
•    Even-keeled manner, possess self-awareness, and base decisions on your analysis of fact.
•    Background in a health system’s Revenue Cycle operations is highly preferred. 
•    Moderate understanding of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
