- Cross-Functional Project Execution
- Manage and propose end-to-end compliance projects assigned by the Compliance Ops Manager, from scoping and stakeholder alignment to launch and post-implementation monitoring.
- Coordinate across Engineering, Legal, Product, and external partners to ensure technical and regulatory requirements are met simultaneously.
- Maintain a live project tracker: status, risks, owners, and deadlines visible to the Compliance Ops Manager at all times.
- Flag scope changes, delays, and blockers early. You're accountable for delivery and its quality, from scoping to hand-off, not just coordination.
- Gap Analysis & Process Optimization:
- Regularly audit current workflows to identify bottlenecks & optimization opportunities: Why are certain holds exceeding SLA?
- Partner with the Product team to automate repetitive compliance tasks, converting manual reviews into automated or human-in-the-loop workflows.
- You design and recommend process changes. Rule implementation and regulatory decisions require sign-off from the Compliance Ops Manager and/or Legal. You are the engine, not the final approver.
- Project Execution:
- Execute high-stakes compliance projects assigned by the Compliance Ops Manager
- Own end-to-end delivery: scoping, coordination, timeline management, and post-launch monitoring.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Compliance Operations and Legal/Engineering teams, ensuring technical deployments align with regulatory requirements.
- The Compliance Ops Manager owns the roadmap and prioritization. You own execution fidelity, bringing projects across the finish line on time and within compliance guardrails.
- Compliance Roadmap Tracking:
- The Compliance Operations Manager owns our Source of Truth and sets the strategic goals. Your role is to serve that strategy, to own the how. You translate the goals into a clear path forward, track where things stand, and drive how we move along the roadmap.
- Maintain and update the compliance operations roadmap in partnership with the Compliance Ops Manager: initiatives, owners, timelines, and dependencies.
- Run regular roadmap review meetings: prepare agendas, document decisions, and distribute action items.
- Ensure cross-functional dependencies.
- Produce concise status updates for the Compliance Ops Manager and senior stakeholders: clear on progress, risks, and decisions needed.
- Team Leads - Light Coordination:
- You are not the manager of the Team Leads, but you work closely with them and help keep operational reality connected to project work.
- Maintain a working understanding of day-to-day queue performance to identify when operational patterns should trigger a process improvement initiative.
- Coordinate with Team Leads when a project requires their input, testing, or temporary workflow changes.
- Surface recurring blockers from the Team Leads to the Compliance Ops Manager — you are a communication bridge, not a command layer.
