JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Leads and/or supports internal compliance investigations and audits throughout the Kaweah Health, including compiling detailed reports with recommendations to the Compliance Officer, Management, Executive Leadership, and the Board of Directors.
Develops compliance and privacy training materials and performs ongoing compliance training throughout the Kaweah Health.
Provides ongoing advice and consulting resources to Management. Evaluates operational processes and work with area management to implement improvements.
Assists the Kaweah Health Compliance Officer with the development and implementation of the Annual Compliance Plan and the ongoing assessment of compliance risk mitigation strategies and issues.
Assists the external Auditors as needed during the annual Financial Statement Audit.
Leads and/or supports regular compliance reviews and risk assessments. Completes and/or reviews audits within established timeframes and guidelines, analyzes results, and prepares and presents formal report with findings and recommendation to Compliance Officer for final review.
Participates as an active member of designated Committees. Reports on project findings and completes special projects, tasks, or reviews as assigned by the Committee.
Assists the Kaweah Health Compliance and Privacy Officer in preparation for state and federal audits and reviews.
Under direction, reviews Compliance policies and procedures and makes recommendations for additions, revisions and deletions.
Provides support to other departments in the development of monitoring tools and protocols when requested.
Directs and supervises all compliance personnel, including performance evaluations, training and orientation, mentoring, and oversight of project assignments and workload. Assists Kaweah Health Compliance Officer in the daily operations of the Compliance Department.
Assists the Kaweah Health Compliance and Privacy Officer in management of the Fair Market Value process including data preparation and analysis, management, and review of Fair Market Valuations.
Supports the Kaweah Health Compliance and Privacy Officer in investigations and risk mitigation strategies for affiliated entities including the Kaweah Health Medical Group.
Additional
Provides support to other departments by researching laws and regulations, monitors changes in laws and regulations and communicates applicable changes to pertinent areas to ensure continued compliance.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
