Role Overview  

As the Post-onboarding Manager / Senior Specialist, you will lead the Product Compliance Cleanup Team to oversee end-to-end product compliance and cleanup strategies. By leveraging regulatory expertise, AI-driven automation, and cross-functional leadership, you will eliminate non-compliance risks and protect brand reputation within aggressive operational timelines.

What You Will Do  

• Strategic Compliance Management & Cleanup Oversight: Oversee onboarded product compliance mechanisms in alignment with Coupang policies and domestic regulations. Define cleanup frameworks and standards covering SDP content integrity, import/manufacturing legitimacy, and vendor qualification across diverse product categories.

• Risk Assessment & Resource Optimization: Leverage deep regulatory expertise to evaluate complex compliance risks. Strategically deploy limited team headcount and resources, establishing high-efficiency workflows and AI-assisted automation to eliminate violation risks within aggressive timelines.

• Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance: Drive strategic alignment across key stakeholders—including Business Management, Fulfillment Centers, Legal, and Product Policy—to institutionalize proactive risk-mitigation controls, clear compliance bottlenecks, and protect brand reputation.

Basic Qualifications  

Background & Regulatory Expertise

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Food Regulatory Affairs, with deep knowledge of food ingredient restrictions, permitted usages, and advertising claim regulations. Proven track record in negotiating with regulatory authorities to successfully mitigate non-compliance concerns highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks for Medicine, Medical Devices, and Cosmetics, including statutory definitions of medical efficacy and false/exaggerated advertising. Experience in conducting regulatory category determinations for borderline products (e.g., distinguishing among general merchandise, cosmetics, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals) preferred.

Communication Excellence

• Language Proficiency: Professionally fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Highly comfortable communicating and aligning across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

• Message Structuring: Skilled at translating and simplifying complex regulatory issues into structured, easy-to-understand insights, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and actionable instructions.

Follow-up & Project Management Discipline

• Timely Execution: Excellent follow-up skills to ensure every project progresses in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Status Tracking: Highly organized in tracking end-to-end project statuses, managing documentation, and meeting strict deadlines.

• Multi-tasking & Detail Orientation: Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

Analytical & Critical Thinking

• Data-Driven Analysis & Advice: Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information into structured logic, providing practical execution plans based on resource availability and risk assessment.

• Logical Acumen & Gap Spotting: High sensitivity to textual logic, capable of quickly identifying contradictions within regulations or internal policies, as well as operational gaps in execution.

• Objective Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate evidence objectively and proactively propose constructive feedback and risk-mitigated solutions.

Ability to Work Under Pressure

• Prioritization in Fast-Paced Environments: Performs exceptionally well in fast-paced, high-volume environments while effectively balancing competing priorities.

• Composure & Precision: Maintains high accuracy, attention to detail, and professional composure under tight timelines and high-stakes conditions.

• Agility & Adaptability: Demonstrates exceptional flexibility and resilience when case requirements, timelines, or regulatory frameworks shift rapidly.

Preferred Qualifications  

• Proficiency in using Excel VBA to analyze data.

• Proficient in leveraging Gemini for large-scale data processing and workflow automation, significantly reducing manual effort while driving high operational efficiency.
