Governance & Oversight team is a centralized group within Compliance that enables Compliance and Compliance Engineering teams to work efficiently and effectively by performing the following functions:
(i) designing, implementing, and coordinating Compliance Engineering control frameworks;
(ii) managing delivery of strategic engineering initiatives;
(iii) unifying and enhancing core Compliance systems; and
(iv) managing Compliance Engineering budget, vendors, and resources.
Summary of the Role
Governance & Oversight team is seeking technically proficient team members who can help drive global Compliance Engineering projects and governance frameworks that have a strategic impact on the firm’s Compliance program. This specific role will focus heavily on tracking, reporting, and delivering key frameworks and projects. This is a hands-on role that requires diligent, persistent delivery managers who can quickly learn complex Compliance and Engineering concepts. As needed, candidates will be expected to help enforce framework requirements and coordinate time-sensitive projects. Examples of recent initiatives that may be carried out in this type of role include:
- Redesigning and implementing a new global delivery management framework for Compliance Engineering projects
- Enhancing the firm-wide surveillance governance program
- Coordinating the issue management framework for Compliance Engineering
Basic Qualifications
- Well-organized individual with exceptional attention to detail and personal initiative
- Effective project management skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to initiate and execute projects – communicating issues, risks, and results to stakeholders in global locations
- Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through both analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Technically proficient and analytical; experience working with and analyzing data
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
Preferred Experience
- Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in risk management or compliance, including exposure to management consulting, technology industry, financial services, and/or project management
- Proven experience as a strong cross-group collaborator and team player, dealing with complex problems, resolving conflicts, and experience influencing cross-functionally, and with executive-level audiences
- Working knowledge of financial markets and products
- Analytical capacity and experience with low code tooling platforms
