Leeds Office - Full Time

Role Overview

The Compliance & Partnership Associate will support Zuno's operational compliance activities across its FCA-regulated services and partnerships.

Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the role will help ensure that regulatory requirements and partner policies are understood and followed, while supporting the delivery of positive customer outcomes.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to operational compliance, quality assurance, governance, partnership management and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the business and external stakeholders, helping to identify risks, support improvements and embed good compliance practices as Zuno continues to grow.

Partnership & Principal Relationship Management

  • Support the day-to-day relationship between Zuno and key third-party partners.

  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Help ensure partner policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are communicated and embedded within relevant teams.

  • Coordinate governance meetings, actions and reporting requirements.

  • Support the escalation of conduct risks, incidents and emerging concerns in line with agreed processes.

  • Assist with preparing performance updates covering compliance, customer outcomes, quality assurance and operational risks.

  • Support audits, reviews and requests for regulatory information.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Support day-to-day compliance activities across regulated sales and customer journeys.

  • Help monitor adherence to FCA requirements, including Consumer Duty, GDPR and Treating Customers Fairly.

  • Maintain compliance reporting, governance dashboards and management information.

  • Support investigations into customer complaints, conduct risks and potential customer detriment.

  • Track regulatory and compliance actions through to completion.

Quality Assurance & Sales Oversight

  • Support the delivery and ongoing development of the Quality Assurance framework across regulated sales activities.

  • Review customer interactions against approved sales processes and scripts.

  • Monitor QA findings, call quality, complaints and customer outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Work with operational teams to support improvements through feedback, coaching and process changes.

  • Assist with vulnerable customer monitoring and oversight.

Governance, Risk & Reporting

  • Support the preparation of operational compliance reporting across regulated activities.

  • Help maintain governance dashboards covering complaints, incidents, QA outcomes, Consumer Duty metrics and emerging risks.

  • Identify and escalate potential operational and regulatory risks.

  • Monitor and follow up on actions arising from audits, governance meetings and compliance reviews.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute ideas and support improvements across compliance, governance and operational processes.

  • Assist with the implementation of new regulatory requirements and internal processes.

  • Support reviews of sales journeys and customer communications.

  • Help identify ways to improve processes and efficiency while maintaining good customer outcomes and compliance standards.

  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous learning.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Some experience working within an FCA-regulated environment, or a strong interest in developing a career in compliance and regulation.

  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, Consumer Duty, conduct risk and customer outcomes.

  • Experience supporting compliance, quality assurance, governance or operational processes.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.

  • Comfortable interpreting guidance and applying it to day-to-day operational activities.

Desirable:

  • Experience within Credit Broking or an understanding of FCA Appointed Representative models.

  • Experience producing reports, dashboards or management information.

  • Awareness of complaints, vulnerable customers or financial promotions.

  • Experience supporting audits, reviews or control processes.

  • Exposure to SOX controls and/or SOC 2 compliance.
