EnFin is a financial services company that provides financing for residential solar PV and energy efficiency upgrades, backed by the PV panel manufacturer, Qcells. EnFin is seeking an experienced audit & compliance manager to assist our Chief Compliance Officer for the consumer lending platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with audit, compliance & credit risk experience gained through working with financial institutions or regulators. Experience in the fintech lending sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and manage a comprehensive compliance audit program encompassing key regulations including but not limited to ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), TILA (Truth in Lending Act), FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), BSA (Bank Secrecy Act)/AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act TCPA) and Complaint Management.
  • Conduct risk-based audits of loan origination, servicing, and complaint handling processes.
  • Analyze audit findings, identify potential non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement in compliance practices.
  • Manage borrower complaints, ensuring they are received, investigated, and resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay updated on changes in consumer protection laws, regulations, and emerging compliance risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and regulatory agencies (if required).
  • Liaise with external auditors during compliance examinations.
  • Partner with business units to ensure compliance considerations are integrated throughout loan origination, servicing, and other relevant processes.
  • Complete annual risk assessment and derive audit calendar.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive audit schedule for reviewing closed consumer loan complaints.
  • Define clear audit criteria and ensure consistent application during complaint reviews.
  • Lead the independent review of selected complaints, identifying root causes, and assessing adherence to regulations and internal policies.
  • analyze audit findings and identify trends in customer complaints.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports, including recommendations for improvement in complaint handling, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues in complaint resolution processes.
  • Liaise with relevant departments (e.g., Customer Service, Legal) to ensure information sharing and coordinated efforts in addressing customer complaints.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years experience progressive audit experience
  • Work collaboratively with senior management to ensure the effective implementation of corrective actions
  • Promote a culture of fair lending practices and ethical complaint resolution within the organization
  • Monitor and analyze complaint data to identify emerging trends and potential risks. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or master’s degree in accounting
