We're Building the Future of Finance. Come Help Us Do It Right.

The global financial system is being rewired. Stablecoins and tokenised assets are no longer experimental — they're becoming the default infrastructure for enterprise payments, treasury, and settlement. VARA framework in UAE and advancing stablecoin legislation in the US confirm what's already happening on the ground: digital money rails are going mainstream.

Roma sits at this inflection point, building the default financial infrastructure platform that enterprises trust with their most critical workflows: real-time global payments, stablecoin orchestration, and treasury management across fiat and digital assets.

Founded in 2022 by Amit Jain (IIT Delhi, Stanford, Managing Director at Sequoia Capital, Head of Asia Pacific at Uber), Roma is backed by a $22M seed round from Sequoia Capital, Dara Khosrowshahi (CEO, Uber), Tony Xu (CEO, DoorDash), and other global leaders.

We operate at the intersection of technology, regulation, and global financial systems — where the hardest, most meaningful problems live. Our platform enables enterprises to:

  • Accept, store, convert, and pay using stablecoin infrastructure

  • Run global banking operations with virtual dollar accounts

  • Execute end-to-end global fiat payments across 90+ currencies

  • Invest in traditional treasury and digital assets with a single source of truth across entities

We're already trusted by Binance, DoorDash, Ontop, Solana Foundation, and Noon — and we're just getting started.

About the Role

Compliance is a foundational infrastructure at ROMA. As a Compliance Analyst, you'll be at the core of how we onboard and manage our partners safely, responsibly, and at scale. You'll bring rigor to our due diligence processes while staying curious about the evolving regulatory landscape in crypto, stablecoins, and global fintech.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing compliance well, not just getting it done. You'll work with a team that genuinely cares about building financial systems with integrity, and you'll have real ownership over processes that matter.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough KYB reviews for Roma's enterprise partners — including documentation verification, corporate structure analysis, and beneficial ownership assessment in line with internal policies and applicable regulations

  • Perform KYC onboarding reviews and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for higher-risk entities, documenting findings clearly and escalating where necessary

  • Run adverse media screenings and risk assessments to identify potential financial crime, reputational, or regulatory exposure

  • Review partner business models to ensure alignment with Roma's compliance guidelines — staying sharp on crypto, stablecoin, and Web3 business models

  • Investigate alerts from AML monitoring systems and assist in the preparation and filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date KYC/KYB records and documentation in line with company policies and local regulations

  • Provide timely, professional support to partners on onboarding and compliance-related queries

  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Risk, and Enterprise teams to resolve complex cases and escalations

  • Identify inefficiencies in existing compliance workflows and contribute to continuous process improvement

  • Stay current on regulatory developments across payments, crypto, and digital assets globally — and help translate those changes into operational updates

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in corporate compliance, KYB/KYC operations, or AML — ideally in fintech, crypto, or payments

  • Strong working knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and compliance frameworks, with experience applying them in practice

  • Ability to analyse complex corporate structures and beneficial ownership, and clearly document your reasoning and decisions

  • Experience conducting or supporting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on higher-risk customers or entities

  • Hands-on experience with AML monitoring systems and transaction surveillance tools

  • Experience drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and articulating grounds for suspicion

  • Excellent attention to detail, investigative instincts, and sound risk judgement

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment

Strong Advantage

  • Familiarity with stablecoin or Web3 business models and the compliance nuances they bring

  • Experience working with third-party AML/KYC service providers

  • A track record of contributing to process documentation, compliance program improvements, or operational scaling

  • Startup experience — you know what it means to build things from scratch with limited resources and high stakes

Why Roma

Real ownership, not just a role.

  • You'll own meaningful compliance workflows from day one — not inherit a rigid playbook. If you spot a better way to do something, you'll be expected to say so and build it.

Work at the frontier.

  • Stablecoins and tokenised assets are moving from experimental to essential. You'll be building compliance infrastructure at exactly the moment it matters most.

Exceptional people.

  • Our investors include Sequoia, the CEOs of Uber and DoorDash, and other global leaders. Our team brings experience from the world's best institutions — and they care about getting it right, not just fast.

Freedom to think, question, and implement.

  • We value transparency, meritocracy, and strong work ethic. This is a place where the best idea wins.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with meaningful equity and real upside as Roma scales

  • Comprehensive medical insurance for you, your spouse, and your children

  • A culture that celebrates wins, learns fast, and doesn't waste your time

  • Continuous learning, skill development, and exposure to the global regulatory landscape

  • Great food, a comfortable office, and colleagues who are genuinely good to work with

If you want more than a steady compliance job — if you want to shape something foundational at a company that's moving fast and building something real — we'd like to hear from you.

Roma is an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse teams build better products and make better decisions.
