REPORTS TO: Finance Compliance Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the development of all Finance procedure manuals:
- Writes, rewrites and edits documents
- Conducts review and approval meetings
- Acquires subject matter knowledge by interviewing and observing task specific Finance personnel
- Responsible for ensuring all updates and changes to Finance manuals are processed, documented and communicated to the Finance team
- Responsible for the development of all Finance policies
- Ensures annual review of policies and procedures occurs
- Maintains all electronic and paper files as it relates to Finance policies and procedures
- Ability to work with other departments as need arises for development of additional policies and procedures
- Oversee as-needed test/reviews of policies and procedures and report on effectiveness and suggested improvements
- Track recommended policy and procedure updates to completion and perform follow-up testing for effectiveness
- Act as a Compliance Champion for the organization and work to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization
- Support business unit Tier 1 Compliance Lead in responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of Accounting / Finance experience with proven written communication skills; government contracting experience preferred
- 2-4 years’ experience as a technical writer with emphasis on policies and procedures preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience interfacing with others to gather information needed to accurately gather necessary data
- Experience with Microsoft applications and flowcharting software is required and proficiency demonstrated
- General knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS and Disclosure Statements preferred
- Understanding of audit environment in which Finance department operates
