This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Summary
We are looking for a compensation manager to lead our compensation team and oversee the design, implementation, and administration of our compensation programs. You will be responsible for ensuring that our compensation strategy is competitive, aligned with our business goals, and compliant with all relevant regulations. You will also partner with senior leaders and HR business partners to create and communicate effective compensation plans that drive employee engagement and performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the compensation team and provide guidance, coaching and development opportunities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and consistent compensation philosophy and framework that supports Altera's vision, values and objectives.
- Design and administer various compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity, recognition, and benefits.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure our compensation programs are competitive and equitable.
- Lead the annual compensation planning cycle, including budgeting, modeling, communication and execution.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of the current and proposed compensation programs and policies, and recommend enhancements or changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation, such as FLSA, EEO, OFCCP, etc.
- Develop and deliver compensation training and education programs for managers and employees.
- Partner with HRIS, payroll, finance, legal and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data management and reporting.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in compensation and total rewards.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of:
- Progressive experience in compensation or total rewards, preferably in a global organization.
- Expertise in designing and administering base pay, variable pay, equity, recognition, and benefits programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance or related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other relevant certification preferred.
- 8+ years of:
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, methodologies, and regulations.
- Proficient in market analysis, benchmarking, job evaluation and salary structure development.
- Experience in leading and managing compensation projects and initiatives.
- Knowledge of sales compensation principles and practices.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in
US, California:$131,841.00-$210,951.00
Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
