Mercer’s Career Consulting Team is seeking a Compensation Consultant (Senior Associate).
This role will be based in Montreal, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Lead research and analysis to understand industry and organization-specific issues, including business strategy, corporate performance, compensation and rewards practices and trends, and best practices in talent management.
- Leverage Marsh data, solutions, methodologies, and network of experts to solve problems and develop solutions that help address clients’ needs and advance their workforce and rewards objectives and programs
- Develop workforce rewards programs including salary structures, incentive programs, job evaluation systems, pay equity and transparency programs, skills frameworks, job architectures, etc.
- Prepare client presentations, including recommendations presented to executives, senior management, and HR leaders
- Support Principals and Partners in business development efforts, contributing to proposals as required
- Contribute to internal practice development initiatives including the development of new solutions, intellectual capital, training and development efforts, etc.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Bilingualism in both English & French
- Experience in management consulting, total rewards, compensation, finance, human resources or accounting preferred
- Experience in project management, data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design preferred
- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and a solid background in Excel.
- Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, seeking opportunities to develop new skills.

Skills Required

- Based in Montreal and hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office
- BComm, HBA/MBA, MIR or related degree with coursework in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, HR and/or accounting or equivalent experience
- Progress towards CHRP or CCP designations
