The Compensation Analyst coordinates the daily transactional review of compensation-related inquiries and requests. In this role, you will evaluate new and existing positions, configure job families and tracks, and recommend, develop, and implement appropriate compensation structures.
You will also participate in salary surveys and spearhead special projects, including software upgrades (JDX job description database, Market Pay salary survey software, master pay structure worksheets) and the evaluation of new compensation programs. Working closely with the broader HR team, you will ensure our compensation and incentive programs remain highly competitive in the market.
- Issue Resolution: Partner directly with HR Business Partners to resolve escalated compensation issues.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate compensation information by collecting, calculating, and inputting data.
- Project Management: Lead and manage large, complex projects using established project management methodologies.
- Compliance: Assess Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption status for U.S.-based roles.
- Program Design: Design and oversee the salary administration program to guarantee internal equity and legal compliance across the organization.
- Data Analysis: Analyze compensation data to identify market trends and provide actionable strategic recommendations to management.
Requirements
- Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of progressive, hands-on experience in a compensation or closely related HR field.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and high proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of core compensation principles, structures, and market procedures.
- Analytical Skills: Highly proficient in data analysis and trend identification.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
- Communication: Strong ability to build effective working relationships and clearly convey complex information to stakeholders across the business.
