Role OutlineThe Human Resources department consults with North American business leaders and supports their employees by providing a full range of HR services including planning, recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, HR systems, and payroll.
As the Compensation Analyst you will design, develop, and manages compensation programs in partnership with two or more North American business units. You will analyze data and use results to consult with management and Human Resources teams to assist the company in attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent.
Key Focus AreasAdminister and lead compensation programs for at least two business units, including annual compensation planning, merit increases, and design and review of compensation guidelines.
Assist management and Human Resources teams to prepare job descriptions and maintain job description and job code databases.
Evaluate new and revised jobs to determine appropriate level, FLSA status, and salary range, utilizing external market and internal data to ensure equity of positions.
Use external market and internal equity data to make competitive and equitable salary recommendations and to review and/or support salary change requests.
Research and analyze market data obtained from salary surveys and other sources. Track trends and use data to complete market analyses for projects, consult with management, and ensure the company’s compensation structure is current and relevant.
Evaluate the validity of existing market data sources and provide recommendations to leadership of which salary surveys to participate in.
Design, develop and administer short-term incentive programs.
Assist management and Human Resources teams with various projects and consult on compensation topics as needed. This may include coaching and educating management, research, process design, analysis of costs, impacts, obstacles, or budget data, as well as reporting.
Perform audits to ensure compliance with FLSA and state specific wage regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of progressive compensation analysis or relevant total rewards experience.
2+ years of human resources experience.
Working knowledge of regulations such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Desired Qualifications: To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some or all of the following qualifications:
Master’s degree in Human Resource or Business Administration.
5+ years of progressive compensation analysis or total rewards experience.
3+ years of human resources experience.
PHR, SHRM-CP, and/or CCP preferred.
Working knowledge of regulations such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Experience with global compensation programs and international market pricing.
Strong understanding of job evaluation methods and compensation survey tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and compensation platforms preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
