POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting in the developing and analyzing of compensation programs that support the company's talent strategy while ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role partners with Human Resources Business Partners, Finance, and the Compensation Manager to evaluate jobs, conduct market analyses, and provide data-driven recommendations on salary structures, incentive programs, and compensation policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations, including pay transparency and equal pay requirements.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to provide compensation guidance for offers, promotions, transfers, and retention requests.

  • Assist in the analysis of the Incentive plan.

  • Audit compensation data for accuracy and identify trends or discrepancies.

  • Participate in compensation surveys and maintain relationships with survey vendors.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to understand and define job descriptions. Utilizes tools and guidelines to evaluate jobs. Determines exemptions status, market range, and job alignment. 

  • Assists in the development of annual budgets and merit processes. Works with Compensation Manager and Senior Compensation Analyst to administer the Annual Merit and Incentives programs.

  • Conducts analyses to ensure compliance with applicable DOL and minimum wage laws. Participates and/or leads compensation projects as needed. Tracks and reports on the status of projects for the Compensation Team.

  • Own and maintain PayScale Application

  • Own and maintain the creation and auditing of Job Profiles

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Degree:  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance or a related field.

  • Preferred: Certificate(s) or License(s): Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or SHRM-CP/PHR

  • Experience: 1-2 years of Compensation or Finance experience. Preferred: Experience using PayScale software and Workday

  • Regularly performs computer work and sits.

  • Occasionally walks or stands

  • Seldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
