As the Community Relations Manager, you will manage and strengthen relationships between alliant and the communities we serve. This role builds meaningful partnerships, oversees community engagement activities, leads outreach efforts, and represents alliant at events within the community. Responsibilities:

  • Represent the organization at community events, industry panels, chambers of commerce, school and university programs, nonprofit functions, and public forums stakeholders.

·         Design and lead public and media relations strategies that elevate brand visibility.

·         Serve as a liaison to local media, coordinate interviews, draft talking points and press statements, and secure coverage through strong media relationships.

·         Build and maintain relationships with local government, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, neighborhood groups, and civic leaders.

·         Lead outreach initiatives and coordinates programs.

·         Maintain a database of community partnerships and engagement activities.

·         Negotiate partnership agreements and follow-up communications.

  • Lead planning and executing community events, workshops, volunteer opportunities, outreach campaigns and internal corporate events.
  • Manage logistics including vendors, volunteers, promotional materials, and event registration.
  • Ensure that events and partnerships reflect the organization’s mission, values, and brand.
  • Draft newsletters, event announcements, social medial content, and community updates.
  • Responds to community inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Share stories and impact highlights that demonstrate organizational outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Branding, Marketing, or related field required.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, media relations, employer branding, internal communications, or people experience preferred.
    • Prior experience managing and leading a team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Receptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essential.
