As a Community Outreach Representative, you will provide a valuable service to future ALLO customers and the general public, notifying them of ALLO’s fiber optic construction while going door-to-door.
This position is part-time with the opportunity for advancement. Flexible afternoon and evening shifts and weekend work available. The position is hourly with bonuses for sales leads generated. Must have reliable automotive transportation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Present a positive and professional image for ALLO, serving as the initial public face of the company and building relationships that will convert customers.
2. Notify landowners and residents of upcoming utility locating, digging and underground drilling activities.
3. Address landowners’ basic questions and concerns face-to-face, escalating issues to supervisors accordingly.
4. Assist landowners in marking sprinkler heads, invisible dog fencing and other property items to be aware of during construction.
5. Educate landowners and residents on utility easements and city rights-of-way.
6. Communicate ALLO’s hassle-free commitment by informing residents of restoration policies and protocols.
7. Identify potential areas of concern that may affect construction plans and report them to quality assurance and control.
8. Generate leads for outside sales.
Colorado Residents: typical pay range for this role will be from $17 to $19 per hour depending on experience.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
None required.
Desired: 1+ Year(s) of previous customer service and/or sales experience. Basic landscaping and irrigation knowledge.
Bilingual in Spanish encouraged to apply.

Be courteous and safety driven. Maintain a good driving record. Have some technical experience of areas of construction related to job. Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. Anticipate, prevent and solve problems (proactive vs. reactive) within his/her authority. Make quick, accurate decisions when necessary and take responsibility for his/her actions. Be knowledgeable of Ideal Homes’ quality standards and industry performance standards.
Additionally:
1. Must be able to quickly learn fundamental concepts of underground fiber optic construction as well as company policies and city regulations
2. Exceptional communication, public speaking and de-escalation skills
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments
4. Ability to meet deadlines and keep construction on schedule
5. Willingness and ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, often in varying weather conditions
6. Ability to perform tasks at a high level with limited or no supervision
7. Skill at reading and interpreting digital maps on handheld electronic devices
8. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
9. Familiarity with one or more project management software applications (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
