Salary: From $115,452.33 base salary + super (based on experience)

Why This Role Is Important

As the City’s Community Insights Officer, you’ll be central to the City’s continued journey to listen and respond with a local focus. In this role you’ll lead the combining and analysing community engagement and other data to understand context, develop actionable insights and embed evidence-informed project design and decision-making into organisational practice.

You’ll help drive the ‘Locally-led Stirling’ and ‘Living Locally’ initiatives, ensuring our community engagement is place-based, collaborative, and genuinely responsive to local priorities. Your efforts will help us “do better” community engagement, making sure every voice is heard and every insight counts. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the design and delivery of the City’s community insights function, ensuring best-practice data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Embed evidence-informed decision-making into projects and strategies, championing Living Locally and Locally-led Stirling.
  • Design, collect, evaluate, and report on data and benchmarks relating to the impact of activities on local areas, maintaining suburb profiles and local focus plans through two-way conversations, data storytelling, and a single-entry point for community voices.
  • Build and nurture relationships with community groups, local businesses, and internal stakeholders to achieve community insights outcomes.
  • Identify and deliver visible, place-based wins using real community insights, turning local voices and data-driven insights into better decisions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in community insights, engagement, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in community engagement and data insights, with a track record of turning insights into action.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills, with the ability to work confidently across diverse communities.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and collaborative, with a knack for embedding evidence-informed insights into real-world decisions.
