At The Crown Estate, we create lasting and shared prosperity for the nation. As we embark on a significant Finance Transformation programme, we are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to shape the narrative, build engagement and help colleagues navigate change with confidence.

This is an opportunity to play a highly visible role within a business-critical ERP transformation, working with senior leaders and programme teams to deliver communications that inform, inspire and drive adoption across the organisation and beyond.

Purpose of Role

The Communications Manager, Finance Transformation, will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive communications strategy supporting a large-scale ERP transformation programme.

You will create clear, compelling and engaging communications that connect people to the programme vision, support business readiness and help ensure the successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working. Acting as a trusted partner to programme leadership, you will drive effective communication across internal, programme and external audiences throughout the transformation journey.

  • Creating and delivering a communications strategy that supports programme success from design through to implementation and beyond.

  • Driving awareness and understanding of the transformation across business functions and stakeholder groups.

  • Bringing complex technical and ERP-related topics to life through clear, accessible and engaging communications.

  • Partnering with Change, Training and Programme teams to maximise employee engagement and adoption.

  • Developing impactful leadership communications, briefing materials, presentations and campaign content.

  • Building strong connections across programme teams to encourage collaboration, transparency and shared purpose.

  • Supporting external communications activity where required, ensuring messaging is aligned, consistent and well managed.

  • Using feedback, insight and engagement data to continually enhance communication effectiveness.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading communications for large-scale business, technology or transformation programmes.

  • Exceptional storytelling and content development skills, with the ability to translate complex information into engaging messages for diverse audiences.

  • Experience influencing senior leaders and providing trusted communications advice at executive level.

  • An excellent track record of designing communication strategies that drive engagement, understanding and behavioural change.

  • The ability to build relationships quickly and work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent judgement, organisation and attention to detail, with the confidence to manage competing priorities.

  • Experience working alongside Change Management, Transformation or PMO teams.

  • A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and maintain momentum through change.

  • Experience supporting ERP, Finance Transformation or enterprise-wide technology programmes would be highly advantageous.
