What You'll Do
As a Communications & Event Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in planning and executing external communication tactics and capabilities for Flatiron in Germany and the UK. Collaborating closely with our local Partnerships teams, as well as our Communications, Brand and Field Marketing team in the US, you'll drive initiatives that position Flatiron's unique Real-World Evidence (RWE) experience in oncology on an international scale. This role requires strategic storytelling, brand building, working with local, external partners and vendors, and staying abreast of dynamic conversations within the realms of cancer research, healthcare, and technology. In addition you will:
- Develop and execute communication roadmaps and plans aligned with business objectives, audience targeting, and industry trends across Germany and the UK.
- Craft engaging content with compelling key messages for various owned corporate channels like Flatiron's website, articles, blogs, webinars, social media, and printed materials
- Spearhead the creation of new modules on Flatiron's International websites, integrating impactful graphic elements
- Coordinate Flatiron's participation in conferences and events, managing logistics and registrations, speaking engagements, and booth execution or develop concepts for Flatiron- hosted events in Europe.
- Support activities with Flatiron Patient Voices Panel to include the patient perspective in our messaging
- Maintain communication calendars, media and stakeholder engagement trackers, and metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Provide guidance and templates to ensure a cohesive communication style across the organization
Who You Are

You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. In addition:
- You have 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing or external communications (ideally within healthcare)
- You have native-level proficiency in German and English (C2 level)
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- You have expertise in social and digital media strategy, stakeholder management, press material development and an understanding of media
- You have experience with relevant tools such as Figma, Hubspot, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- You are willing to travel frequently to meet with the team and to attend events, mainly in Germany and the UK
- You have exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
- You have demonstrated skill in coordinating content-rich initiatives and events
- You have strong organizational, planning and project management skills
- You are a team player with a "can do attitude"

Preferred Primary Location: Berlin office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
