ABOUT TED

TED is on a mission to discover and spread ideas that spark imagination, embrace possibility and catalyze impact. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.

About The Audacious Project
The Audacious Project is a collaborative funding initiative catalyzing social impact on a grand scale. Every year, we select and nurture a group of big, bold solutions to the world's most urgent challenges — and with the support of an inspiring community of donors, come together to get them launched. Housed at TED, the nonprofit with a long track record of surfacing ideas worth spreading, Audacious has helped catalyze nearly $9B in support of 70 bold projects spanning health, climate and community-led innovation.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a creative, driven Communications Associate with experience in philanthropy and social impact, to join the Audacious team in uplifting the brand and telling the stories that matter most. This is a full-time role for someone who is energized by the intersection of big ideas, philanthropic impact and powerful storytelling.

You will work with the Director of Brand & Communications and across the Audacious team to surface and shape compelling narratives about the work that Audacious grantees are leading, extend awareness and visibility for Audacious as a collaborative and develop creative ideas to share our work and learnings across the sector. From

This is a role for someone who is eager to be at the forefront of the growing collaborative philanthropy space, a creative thinking and storyteller who loves working as part of a team, who loves writing, ideation and content creation and who brings genuine enthusiasm for working alongside nonprofits and philanthropic organizations to

What We Do

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world. TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. On TED.com, we're building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TED and TEDx events around the world, all year long. In fact, everything we do — from our TED Talks videos to the projects sparked by the TED Prize, from the global TEDx community to the TED-Ed lesson series — is driven by this goal: How can we best spread great ideas?
