THE POSITION

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Communications Advisor to join our Corporate Communications team at Keyera. This role is perfect for a creative storyteller who wants to make a meaningful impact through clear, compelling communication.

As a vital member of our Calgary-based team, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, analyze information, and produce engaging content that highlights our company’s achievements and supports our strategic priorities. You will be instrumental in delivering stories and content that connect with internal and external audiences and reflect who we are as a company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulate and execute communication plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Research, plan, and create content for various platforms, including the intranet, website, social tools, newsletters, fact sheets, and digital signage.

  • Support the planning and execution of corporate events, such as town halls and speaking engagements.

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to identify storytelling opportunities and build strong working relationships across the business.

  • Support crisis communication plans and responses, as required, to address issues that could affect the organization's reputation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, preferably in the energy sector.

  • Extensive background in corporate communications, including content development.

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for different formats and platforms.

  • A proactive, self-starting mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Savviness with technology and a strong understanding of digital communication trends and tools. Familiarity with SharePoint is an asset.

  • Analytical thinking and the ability to use data to inform strategy and measure impact.

  • Collaborative spirit and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly across teams.
