We are actively seeking a Commissions AnalystThis is a remote position, however, if you are located within 50 miles of one of Rimini’s Corporate Offices then this position allows for Hybrid Work Option. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate calculation of commissions for all commissionable employees the Rimini organization, both Domestic and International. This position will report to the Director, Commissions. We are looking for a highly-organized, self-motivated individual who has a proven capability of prioritizing multiple responsibilities while meeting strict goals and deadlines. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Thoroughly understand and execute calculations for all compensation plans to ensure payments are accurate, complete and in compliance with company policy and practice
  • Work with accounting and payroll in order to meet month end close and payroll deadlines
  • Track, research and resolve calculation-related inquiries and exceptions including disputes and appeals
  • Responsible for identifying commissionable data elements and managing data within individual commission calculators in order to present a clear and concise view of commissions and to ensure accuracy of results
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continual improvement of best practices and processes to enhance efficiencies and reduce risk of error
  • Perform user acceptance testing in preparation for future system automation
  • Support annual audit deliverables related to compensation payouts
  • Manage and/or execute ad-hoc analytic requests

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Operations or related field from recognized institution(s) of excellence

Experience

  • 3+ years related experience in financial analysis and operational reporting, preferably including heavy analytical work with complex incentive plans

Skills

  • Solid analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfort and familiarity with Incentive Compensation Systems (Callidus, Xactly, etc.)
  • Organized and methodical with the highest standards of accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to deal with “emotional charged” compensation issues and challenges at all organizational levels
  • Patient, good listener, and strong business partnering skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and comfort creating analysis and information for management

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong business sense with an eye to detail particularly related to commission/incentive compensation impacts
  • Understanding of business needs and the willingness and ability to be available after hours as needed during busy commission cycles and to meet tight payroll deadlines
  • Flexible and openness to new ideas and changes to comp plans, and having the insights to recognize challenges and/or opportunities in order to address them ahead of time
  • Willingness to accept new challenges, being curious about how things work, and finding solutions to potential issues
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, multi-task and manage competing priorities with multiple deadlines, and a willingness to roll-up sleeves to get the job done
  • Must demonstrate high energy, initiative and creativity
  • Confidence to challenge the status-quo and propose thoughtful alternatives

Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.

The general salary range for this type of role is 62k - 77k depending on skills and experience.
