About the location:
An iconic hideaway on the glamorous Athens riviera, reborn. Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.
What you will do
- To participate in the production of said items following the standards set by your Chef.
- To assist in the production for the pastry department according to the needs of the Hotel and pastry kitchen.
- To use the proper methods of productions as approved by your Pastry Chef.
- To ensure the training and monitor in the proper usage, maintenance and cleaning of all pastry equipment such as: spatulas, mixers, various knives, blenders, food processors, pastry bags, ovens and any other equipment.
- To ensure the requisition supplies and equipment and sees that they are delivered and properly stored.
- To participate in the Production of all items in the pastry kitchen.
- To produce the production of all tasting menus.
- To assist in maintaining pastry kitchen in a clean and organized manner following the Proper sanitation guidelines and train the staff to do likewise.
- To assist in the production of all items needed to maintain pastry kitchen mise en place levels.
- To understand the use of various scales and other measuring equipment such as: measuring cups, measuring spoons.
- To respect and do teamwork. Accept full responsibility for managing any activity in the absence of the Demi Chef de Partie in a fast paced high quality operation.
- To be certified in Food Service Sanitation as available and to implement protocols.
- To work closely with all chefs in relation to the food.
