The Role
The key focus of this role will be engaging and interacting with small to medium-large businesses (up to 2,500 employees) across Australia and working closely with and through our channel partners to effectively reach and sell into this market segment. The successful candidate will understand how to leverage the channel ecosystem to drive more demand, build relationships, and deliver value to organisations across the region / market segment.
Your day-to-day
• Engage and interact with small to medium-large organisations (up to 2,500 employees) across Australia and position Proofpoint as the preferred technology
• Collaborate with and through channel partners to develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the market segment
• Ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, advanced solution selling capabilities, conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business for Proofpoint
• Technical and business acumen, to include the ability to coordinate and deliver compelling portfolio presentations
• Work with System Engineers and Product Specialists to prepare account strategies and plans
• Partner with marketing and the channel to gain access into new accounts
• Strong operational excellence, to include forecast accuracy, Salesforce pipeline development, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace
• Ability to travel 50% of the time
What You Bring To The Team
• Minimum 2 years Sales experience generating net new business
• Demonstrated consistent 100%+ Quota Attainment and President Club attendance
• Proven experience selling a complex multi-product architecture to organisations, selling into C-level Executives to Evaluator-level Engineers
• Experience managing an entire sales cycle from start to finish
• Minimum 1 – 2 years Cold Calling experience (not tech, SaaS or Security specific)
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn new business and technical concepts quickly
