About this role

Role Overview

As a Sales Analyst/ Associate within the Wealth Team at BlackRock Australasia, you will build and nurture relationships with financial advisers, wealth management firms, and platforms. You’ll represent the industry’s most comprehensive investment offering, spanning public and private markets, index and active solutions, and cutting-edge technology. This role is based in Melbourne, with flexibility to support clients across Victoria and occasional interstate travel.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects in your assigned region/panel.

  • Deliver tailored investment solutions to clients, on a range of product solutions – including, but not limited to traditional long-only strategies, alternatives, ETFs, and multi-asset products.

  • Provide best-in-class thought leadership and market insights to grow BlackRock’s share of wallet.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with the Australian Wealth Team to design and execute detailed sales strategies, focusing on expanding product usage and client engagement.

  • Identify opportunities for business growth in the Wealth Advisory segment through strategic planning and proactive outreach.

  • Work closely with the Victorian State Manager for adviser distribution to achieve business objectives.

Product Knowledge & Thought Leadership

  • Represent BlackRock’s core products: ETFs, index funds, models, and key active funds.

  • Support and deliver educational seminars to audiences of varying sizes, requiring occasional travel.

  • Stay informed about market trends, research, and competitor offerings.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure diligent use of client relationship management tools (CRM Dynamics) to record client activity and champion best practices.

  • Prepare client materials, management reports, and maintain accurate records of pipeline and executed trades.

  • Submit expenses and complete administrative tasks efficiently.

  • Uphold all regulatory and legal requirements, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

Event Participation & Networking

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, conferences, and professional development days.

  • Maintain professional and client-focused interactions before, during, and after events.

  • Expand your network across BlackRock Australia and relevant external platforms.

Success Indicators

  • Achievement of client engagement metrics and growth in assets under management.

  • Contribution to team sales targets and overall business results.

  • Demonstrated operational excellence and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in wealth management, financial services, or a related role.

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.

  • Deep understanding of listed and unlisted funds, and the competitive landscape.

  • Experience with digital sales tools, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and dedicated to excellence.

  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment.

  • Creative, curious, and eager to grow into a Relationship Manager role.
