Commercial Risk Management Department 

The Commercial Risk Management Department is responsible for all things related to the property and casualty programs for Vantage Data Centers, globally. The team is also responsible for contract review and negotiations, claims management, lender due diligence, executive reporting, participating in enterprise risk management, and budget responsibilities.

Position Overview 

This role is based in Denver, CO in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). #LI-Hybrid

The Risk Management Analyst (CRM), Global is responsible for overseeing and managing commercial risk across all international operations. This role involves identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks that could impact the company's commercial activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing strategies to minimize potential losses. The CRM Manager works closely with the CRM Director, Global in in the daily operational functions and support of the insurance risk management programs including accounts payable, allocations, certificate of insurance tracking and data management for global insurance renewals. 

Essential Job Functions 

Risk Identification and Analysis: 

  • Identify potential commercial risks across global operations, including operational, and strategic risks. 
  • Participate in risk assessments and analyses to understand the potential impact on the organization. 

Risk Mitigation: 

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses. 
  • Assist with tracking of risk engineering inspection action items. 
  • Provide project support for risk management initiatives. 
  • Develop risk management-related reports and communications as needed. 
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust strategies as necessary. 
  • Coordinate response efforts during risk events to minimize impact on operations and reputation. 

Insurance Management: 

  • Serve as the primary risk management contact for insurance brokers and insurance carriers with respect to administrative insurance program changes, including invoicing, automobile identification cards, and posting notices. 
  • Develop vendor certificate of insurance tracking and auditing program. 
  • Serve as the primary risk management contact for vendors, suppliers, and site users with respect to company insurance requirements and certificates of insurance. 
  • Provide administrative management for construction insurance programs. 
  • Manage insurance data collection for lender requirements. 
  • Maintain property insurance location list globally and provide quarterly updates on additions and deletions. 
  • Develop and manage cost containment program for workers' compensation. 
  • Maintain records of insurance policies and claims. 
  • Create, update, and conduct reconciliation of insurance allocation information and provide to Finance. 
  • Manage the audit process for applicable insurance policies. 

Training and Awareness: 

  • Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of commercial risk management practices. 
  • Ensure all employees understand their role in managing commercial risks and compliance. 
  • Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization. 

Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with other departments, including Legal, Finance, Operations, and Compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management. 
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors, and industry bodies, to stay informed of best practices and regulatory requirements. 
  • Participate in cross-functional risk management committees and projects. 

Additional Duties: 

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management. 

Job Requirements 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from in Risk Management, Business, Finance or other related field from an accredited university or college.

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in a global or multinational environment. 

Skills: 

  • Basic understanding of all lines of insurance, loss control and claims management.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office with strong knowledge of Excel
  • Positive, proactive individual with excellent problem solving and analytic skills.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research assignments, excellent oral and written skills to summarize and communicate research findings. 
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with other individuals/departments globally.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with limited direction and within limited time schedules.
  • National and International Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details 

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000 Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations) 
  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits. 
  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
