Job Description

As a Commercial Portfolio Manager- Logix, you will join the Control Hardware Product Management team that has responsibility for our Logix and I/O portfolio. The Commercial Portfolio Manager is the commercial leader for the Control hardware business and portfolio of products to all stakeholders. This includes driving alignment between our business teams, distributors, and sellers, while most importantly delivering value to our customers. You will work with a geographically dispersed team across multiple disciplines inside and outside of Rockwell Automation to support product launches and adoption efforts. As part of the commercial team supporting new product introduction, you will have the opportunity to build new plans and content, as well as influence new processes. Additionally, you will tightly couple with our Industry sales teams and Software and Control sales teams to build opportunity funnels before and after product launches.

You will report to the Business Manager and have a hybrid working schedule from our Mayfield Heights,OH office

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing and executing launch plans with commercial marketing that strengthen the Rockwell Automation and Software and Control priorities.
  • Identify strategies for product lifecycle management inside the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Marketing and Portfolio Engineering for all external commercial messaging, launches, campaigns, etc.
  • Engage with multiple internal and external sales channels including direct strategic account management teams, technical consultants, system integrators, distributors, and value-added resellers.
  • Jointly measure and analyze business alongside the Business Manager to have a knowledge of customer buying behaviors.
  • Responsible for business ownership role in enabling sales, including channel education on solution offerings.
  • Act as the commercial lead on customer-facing issues/complaints within the business.
  • Champion clear, Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect of the portfolio's value story across all customer‑facing channels. Develop narratives, tools, and messaging that expand portfolio visibility, simplify complex technical concepts to customer outcomes. Ensure the portfolio's story is consistently understood, repeatable, and aligned to Rockwell Automation's broader strategic direction
  • Collaborate with other members of product team on market Analysis (TAM, SAM, etc.) and product positioning.
  • Responsible for connecting the portfolio to other businesses within Rockwell Automation to deliver total system value to customers.
  • Lead the orchestration of high‑visibility customer and industry engagement initiatives — including Automation Fair, PR‑driven portfolio showcases, and strategic demonstrations ensuring these experiences reinforce portfolio and system positioning and accelerate commercial momentum.
  • Evaluate and manage key partnership opportunities within and outside of Rockwell Automation to enhance product portfolio.

The Essentials- you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

The Preferred- you might also have:

  • This role typically requires a minimum of 8 years related experience
  • Proven Industry experience in Control System design, implementation, commissioning, and support with knowledge of current Rockwell Automation software products
  • Strong customer relationship management skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various functional groups and peer business units
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills and an ability to work within a geographically dispersed team environment to achieve objectives.
