Position Summary
Bloom Energy is seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Commercial Operations Manager to serve as a critical bridge between Sales, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Product, and Executive leadership teams. This role will drive commercial excellence by supporting proposal development, contract management, deal structuring, pricing analysis, executive approvals, and process optimization across the sales lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a central cross-functional partner, coordinating activities across Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, Operations, and Executive leadership to streamline commercial processes and deal execution.
- Develop and manage customer-facing commercial documentation, including firm proposals, RFP responses, contracts, and related supporting materials.
- Support deal structuring through pricing, profitability, and margin analysis, providing insights and recommendations that optimize commercial outcomes.
- Prepare concise and insightful deal memoranda that summarize commercial, financial, contractual, and operational considerations for executive reviews and downstream handoffs.
- Manage contract review processes, including documenting, tracking, and obtaining approvals for contractual deviations and non-standard terms.
- Coordinate executive approval workflows and ensure timely collection of stakeholder inputs required for deal approvals.
- Drive CRM data integrity and Salesforce hygiene, ensuring accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and commercial visibility.
- Analyze commercial performance data and develop reporting that supports business decision-making and sales effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and advance the adoption of AI-enabled tools across commercial operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, efficiency, and customer responsiveness throughout the commercial lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Business Operations, Contract Management, Pricing, or a related function.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities with experience evaluating pricing, margins, and deal economics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred
- Experience in energy, infrastructure, clean technology, industrial, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
- Familiarity with commercial contracting processes and deal approval governance.
- Experience developing automation, reporting, or AI-enabled business solutions.
- Understanding of energy industry fundamentals, power markets, or energy project economics.
