Job Title: Commercial Officer
Working location: (Bristol/Hybrid)
You will be someone who can build relationships and influence across the organisation. You’ll have an aptitude for understanding the business and how to shape our commercial deals to make sure we balance risk and reward across a culturally diverse range of customers.
We are seeking individuals who possess analytical skills, can exercise sound business judgement, are articulate and confident dealing with ambiguity and with a willingness to learn.
What you will be doing:
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower capture teams to win and deliver better business by supporting the development of accurate, timely and innovative contractual solutions with our customers and partners
- Draft and negotiate contract terms with customers using appropriate techniques, strategies and engaging the right subject matter experts
- Identify potential risks and liabilities in concepts, proposals and contracts and implement appropriate means to manage these.
- Instruct and administer new and existing business agreements providing trusted advice and guidance to ensure understanding of Rolls-Royce and customer obligations and contract points.

- Collaborates well in a team environment, building relationships across the business and working collaboratively with other business areas and corporate functions
- Previous commercial and contracting experience would be advantageous.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
