As a Commercial Manager, you’ll be the right hand to the Head of Trading, driving the performance of a defined cohort of partners and brands within CarTrawler’s digital car rental ecosystem - both the car rental booking platforms for some of the world’s leading travel brands, as well as our own direct-to-consumer brands, Holiday Autos and Argus Car Hire. This is a high-impact, hands-on commercial role focused on identifying growth opportunities and delivering measurable results.

You’ll influence trading strategy and execution across pricing, merchandising, CRM, content optimisation, and experimentation ensuring that every lever driving conversion and margin is optimised. The role blends analytical depth, commercial judgement and cross-functional execution, with a clear pathway to future P&L ownership.

What you’ll do as a Commercial Manager

  • Drive commercial performance across your partner and brand portfolio, using pricing, discounting, merchandising and CRM to maximise conversion and profitability.
  • Translate strategy into action by identifying, prioritising and delivering initiatives that create measurable trading uplift across platforms and partners.
  • Use data and experimentation to analyse performance, test hypotheses and guide decision-making that accelerates sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate closely with partner managers and external partners to enhance joint commercial value and strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Work with product and supply teams to diagnose customer pain points and optimise the booking journey for higher conversion.
  • Champion trading excellence through sharper pricing, stronger data transparency and more efficient trading processes.
  • Communicate performance insights and opportunities to senior stakeholders with clarity, confidence and commercial impact.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of spotting revenue opportunities and delivering measurable growth.
  • Analytical thinker who’s fluent in data, using insight and hypothesis testing to drive informed decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with digital trading levers such as pricing, discounting, CRM, content and A/B testing.
  • Collaborative influencer skilled at aligning cross-functional teams and stakeholders around shared commercial goals.
  • Strategic executor who balances long-term ambition with near-term delivery and trading performance.
  • Clear and confident communicator able to translate complex data into compelling insights and recommendations.
  • Background in strategy consulting or a high-growth commercial, trading or performance environment is an advantage.
