Job Summary


Moog MRO Services is a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions for aircraft engine accessories, airframe components, and industrial gas turbine equipment. Based in North County Dublin, Ireland, we support customers worldwide through engineering expertise, responsive customer service, tailored repair solutions, and more than 25 years of experience delivering high-quality aftermarket support.

We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team.


The Commercial Manager is responsible for driving commercial performance and ensuring exceptional customer experience across the MRO business. This role leads Customer Services and Materials teams, manages key customer relationships, oversees contract governance, and identifies business development opportunities to support sustainable growth. The Commercial Manager acts as the primary commercial interface between the company and customers, ensuring operational alignment, financial performance, and contractual compliance.


Key Responsibilities


Customer Relationship Management


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, sales managers, and strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead regular business reviews, performance meetings, and service-level discussions.
  • Resolve escalations, negotiate solutions, and ensure proactive communication throughout the maintenance lifecycle.

Contract Management & Commercial Governance


  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, compliance, and renewal.
  • Ensure all commercial agreements are aligned with operational capabilities and financial targets.
  • Monitor contract performance, KPIs, penalties, and revenue leakage, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate billing, forecasting, and margin management.

Business Development & Growth Strategy


  • Identify and collaborate with the sales team to leverage new business opportunities within existing and new customer portfolios.
  • Develop commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and tender responses for MRO services.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand the competitive landscape, customer needs, and emerging trends.
  • Support strategic partnerships, alliances, and capability expansion initiatives.

Leadership of Customer Services, Materials & Stores


  • Lead and develop the Customer Services and Materials teams to ensure operational excellence and customer-centric performance.
  • Drive process improvements across order management, material planning, logistics, and customer communication.
  • Ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient stores operations to support maintenance turnaround times (TAT).
  • Implement KPIs, dashboards, and performance routines to ensure alignment with commercial and operational goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Lead production planning with accurate customer forecasts and commercial insights.
  • Participate in internal governance forums, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience


Essential


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial roles within MRO, aviation services, or aerospace.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance processes, material management, and MRO commercial models.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, customer relationship management, and commercial strategy.
  • Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with EASA/FAA regulatory environments.
  • Full driving licence and ability to reliably commute to Ballyboughal, North County Dublin.

Desirable


  • MBA or advanced business qualification.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRO systems.
