Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Producer to join our growing team in Roseland, NJ!
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and delivering risk management and insurance solutions that help clients protect and grow their businesses. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional who enjoys networking, prospecting, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. Success in this role is driven by business development, client retention, market expertise, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
How You Will Contribute:
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship development.
Build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal teammates.
Identify client risks and insurance needs through consultative discussions and risk assessments.
Develop and present insurance and risk management solutions tailored to client objectives.
Collaborate with marketing and service teams to prepare new business and renewal proposals.
Present and negotiate coverage recommendations, proposals, and value-added services with prospective and existing clients.
Serve as a trusted advisor by providing ongoing risk management guidance and insurance expertise.
Assist in the resolution of complex client claims and coverage concerns.
Maintain compliance with agency policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Participate in industry associations, networking groups, and community organizations to strengthen market presence and generate new opportunities.
Licenses & Certifications:
Active Property & Casualty Producer License
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in commercial insurance sales, business development, or risk management consulting.
Working knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage solutions.
Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance sales technology platforms.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and develop new business opportunities.
Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. 7

Pay Range
$300,000 - $400,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
