The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Somerset, NJ. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:

  • Handle a dedicated book of business.

  • Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or in-person regarding policies, coverages, billing, and claims.

  • Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals accurately and promptly.

  • Provide quotes/remarket existing policies when appropriate.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional, friendly service.

  • Review coverage and policy details with clients to ensure proper protection.

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer to producers.

  • Maintain accurate and organized client records within the agency management system.

  • Assist with policy renewals by reviewing accounts for coverage needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent

  • Excellent working knowledge of the computer and the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Internet Explorer 

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software 

  • Ability to analyze work assignments and know when to ask for assistance in order to complete the assignments in a timely manner 

  • Ability to respond promptly to departmental needs and solicit feedback to improve service 

  • Perform all job requirements, consistently produce quality work, complete tasks accurately and on time, prioritize and plan work assignments, use time efficiently to meet productivity standards and commitments 

  • Take responsibility for own actions and be responsive to coaching from account managers and department manager 

  • Strive to continuously pursue training and development opportunities to build knowledge and skills 

Benefits: 

  • Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000/yr.
