Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in Dundee, FL.
The Account Executive will be responsible for servicing new and existing clients and supporting positive client relationships for Agriculture and Commercial Lines accounts. This role focuses on delivering a high level of service while maintaining accuracy, supporting office operations, and contributing to the overall profitability of the business.
How You Will Contribute:
- Assists producer in new production activities to meet or exceed production goals as jointly established with agency management.
- Manages and retains existing book of business including house accounts and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth.
- Acts in a decision-making capacity when marketing and selling products.
- Provides customer relations with all levels of client’s decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives.
- Renews existing business to meet or exceed production goals as jointly established with agency management.
- Follow up to address customer needs and resolve any problems or issues.
- Develops and expand coverage lines to existing accounts.
- Obtains and follow up on information concerning underwriting, claims, and other areas as reasonably requested by agency management, customer service representatives or company representatives.
- Maintains a current level of knowledge on forms and coverage changes through bulletins and circulars.
- Issues Binders, certificates, auto ID cards, and Summaries of Insurance as needed.
- Prepares Finance Contracts, invoices, and proposals for new and renewal accounts.
- Prepares accounts for marketing and markets accounts per instructions from Producer.
- Rates, quotes, and issues policies as required.
- Analyzes loss runs and prepares Premium Loss Summaries.
- Enters policy detail on accounts not yet entered.
- Participates in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends and insurance marketplace changes to help maintain a competitive status for the agency within the industry.
- Keeps suspense (activity) items current.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Licenses and Certifications:
Florida 4-40 License
2-20 License (Preferred)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
High School diploma or GED
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional communication
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to set and manage priorities
Ability to multitask
Ability to communicate extremely well both orally and in writing
Ability to learn and have a general knowledge of our insurance products
Ability to perform large work volumes and ensure efficient and accurate processing of transaction
Background in Agriculture (Preferred_
Experience with AMS, ImageRight and DocuSign (Preferred)
1 – 3 years of experience in a similar position (Preferred)
Bilingual Spanish (Preferred)
