Our client, a $2Billion Community Bank, has asked us to assist in the search for a Commercial Loan Officer to add to their team in St. Louis, MO.
This position will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of commercial banking relationships while generating new business throughout the Minneapolis market.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of commercial clients, deepening existing accounts and adding new ones.
- Consistently exceed annual loan and deposit production goals.
- Grow a loan portfolio with new production in the top tier among the bank's commercial lenders.
- Interview borrowers, gather financials, and analyze credit worthiness.
- Structure and extend loans within policy and lending authority.
- Work with credit analysts to build loan presentations and present them to approving authorities.
- Monitor loans in repayment, handle collections and workouts, and take on larger or more complex deals independently.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and serve as a primary point of contact for their commercial banking needs.
Key Requirements:
- College degree in business administration, accounting, or finance, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of commercial lending experience.
- Background in commercial credit administration, credit analysis, or loan review.
- Proven ability to develop new commercial banking relationships and generate business.
- Self-motivated, organized, and an excellent communicator with strong customer service.
- Ability to independently manage complex commercial banking relationships.
- Strong business development, relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
