TCP is seeking a Commercial Insurance Certificate Processor to join the team in Torrance, CA. This role supports the timely and accurate processing of certificates of insurance, policy related requests, and client portal access while providing quality control, client support, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. TCP’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on‑site four days per week, with flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday through Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide timely responses for COI requests received from current clients (Eastern Time)
- Ensure accuracy of COI issuance via AMS
- Maintain a basic understanding of insurance agreements within contracts
- Review and issue corresponding policy endorsement requests
- Verify COI validity from vendors and implement quality control measures
- Issue notices of cancellation for certificates issued to current certificate holders
- Support functionality and implementation of the client portal
- Support marketing efforts with industry partners
- Establish partnerships with leading vendors and supply marketing materials for distribution
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred)
- Experience: Generally, a minimum of 6 years of experience in insurance operations or customer service. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Property/Casualty Insurance license.
- Scope of Job/Qualifications: Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal insurance-related policies. Advanced analytical and organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization. Advanced knowledge of insurance data processing systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. May provide training, guidance and assistance to lower-level positions.
