The Role

Join us as a Commercial & Institutional (C&I) Franchise Growth Partner

  • This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to help shape and deliver an ambitious growth agenda, working in a collaborative, agile and forward-thinking team environment

  • It’s a high-profile role, with exposure to senior leaders across the bank and the opportunity to influence strategic priorities

  • You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact supporting business strategy and helping turn ambition into measurable outcomes

What you'll do

In this influential role, you’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating C&I’s growth agenda as it embarks on the next phase in its strategy. Partnering closely with key leaders, you’ll help to identify, assess and prioritise growth opportunities across multiple sectors such as alignment to customer and group strategy, resource and capital allocation, delivery risk etc. You’ll introduce practical prioritisation, governance and delivery framework that helps unblock critical initiatives and accelerate the delivery of high-impact projects.

Through your thought leadership and structured approach, actions across the franchise will align more closely with agreed growth priorities. You’ll also share learnings and best practice to help create a high performing, purpose-driven culture.

You’ll also need to:

  • Partner with business units and support functions to shape and execute clear, outcome-focused growth strategies and plans

  • Foster the senior-level collaborative behaviours and effective delivery structures required to enable growth plans to succeed

  • Monitor progress across workstreams, identifying risks and blockers and translating complexity into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior executives

  • Build strong relationships across the bank to ensure alignment on growth priorities

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone who is highly strategic with an excellent approach to problem solving and who is equally comfortable driving delivery. You’ll bring strong hypothesis development and analysis skills, alongside experience of working with senior stakeholders in complex organisations, either within a bank or in a consulting environment.

In addition, you will have a degree or the equivalent experience, plus a keen interest in financial services, and in particular the commercial and corporate banking sector . You'll  have experience working within robust risk, governance and control frameworks, and you can convert data and research into a fact base to support both strategic thinking and delivery. Crucially, you can simplify complex and conflicting priorities to help bring the key issues to the surface.

We’ll also expect you to have:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to challenge and influence key stakeholders

  • The ability to lead and coordinate teams in demanding environments

  • Big picture thinking, along with meticulous attention to detail

We welcome applications from candidates who bring fresh perspectives and transferable experience to help accelerate our growth ambition

NatWest Group Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about NatWest Group and has not been reviewed or approved by NatWest Group.

  • Flexible Benefits A flexible ValueAccount structure with pension and benefit funding allows tailoring of health, protection, lifestyle, and savings options, with unused amounts typically paid as cash. This flexibility supports personalisation of coverage, particularly in Great Britain where the framework is most detailed.
  • Retirement Support Employer-funded pension contributions are provided on top of salary in Great Britain, alongside automatic retirement enrollment and share/save programs. This creates structured long‑term wealth support as part of total reward.
  • Parental & Family Support UK policies outline extended maternity, adoption and equal partner leave on full pay with a phased return, plus paid neonatal care leave. These provisions are positioned as market‑leading and complement broader flexibility resources.

What We Do

We’re a business that understands when our customers and people succeed, our communities succeed, and our economy thrives. As part of our purpose, we’re looking at how we can drive change for our communities in enterprise, learning and climate. As one of the leading supporters of UK business, we’re prioritising enterprise as a force of change. We’re focusing on the people and communities who have traditionally faced the highest barriers to entry and figuring out ways to remove these. Learning is also key to our continued growth as a company in an ever changing and increasingly digital world. By setting a dynamic and leading learning culture, our people prosper, and our customers are given the tools to continue to improve their financial capability and confidence. One of the biggest challenges we all face in our future is climate change. That’s why we’ve put it right at the core of our purpose. We want to champion climate solutions with financing and entrepreneurial support, fully embed climate into our culture and decision making, and be climate positive by 2025. We’re committed to using our purpose to break down barriers, drive change and ultimately create a great place to work.
