Manage and optimize complex non-standard commercial deals across EMEA by analyzing pricing, discounts, margins, terms, risks, and revenue recognition. The EMEA Commercial Finance team partners with Sales and other functions to ensure our largest and most-complex non-standard deals are structured in a balanced way to meet company, sales, and finance objectives and still win with Cisco technology in the market. What You’ll Do

  • Deal Management & Optimization: Manage a variety of non-standard deals for an assigned geography or segment. Perform pricing analysis, restructure deal pricing, influence non-standard term structure, and mitigate risks. Optimize key financial and operational metrics including discount, margin, ACV/iACV, competitive information and deal cycle time.

  • Cross Functional Partnership: While primarily supporting the EMEA Sales team, you will partner with multiple finance and non-finance teams to support the non-standard deal review process, including Sales/CX/BU Finance, Corporate Revenue, Legal, Operations, Cisco Capital, & more.

  • Analytics & Decision Support: Source pricing and financial analytics to benchmark discounts and margin. Obtain relevant information and assurances from various Subject Matter Experts about non-standard pricing and terms to build a justification for approvers to take a decision.

  • Compliance: Maintain compliance by confirming deals are setup in line with the Non-Standard Deal Policy, adhering to internal SOX guidelines, ensuring controls are working effectively, and observing for any policy violations.

  • Optimize Revenue Recognition: In coordination and collaboration with the Corporate Revenue team, identify revenue recognition issues on non-standard terms and non-standard deal structures and mitigate those issues to recognize revenue sooner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years relevant job experience gained in a large multinational company with exposure to various financial and/or commercial disciplines; supporting multiple countries.

  • Fluency in English combined with exceptional oral and written communication skills which enable you to form relationships with key business partners across all levels of business and finance organizations

  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office

  • Time management and planning skills with ability to shift priorities in a highly dynamic environment

  • Experience in data analysis and financial modelling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with and supporting sales organizations on bid, deal or pricing management

  • Finance or Accounting degree or recognized professional accounting qualification achieved or in progress

Skills Required

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a large multinational company, with exposure to financial or commercial disciplines and support for multiple countries
