We are looking for a Commercial Finance & Accounting Specialist to support financial accounting, commercial finance operations, and sales support activities.
The role acts as an interface between Finance, Sales, Operations, Shared Services, and external stakeholders. It combines accounting expertise with commercial and operational finance responsibilities to ensure accurate reporting, effective order-to-cash management, strong internal controls, and business support.
Key responsibilities include:
Commercial topic:
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, accruals, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger integrity through reconciliations, journal entries, and account reviews.
- Review invoices and support cost allocation, accrual accounting, and intercompany recharge processes.
- Monitor customer receivables, overdue balances, and collection activities.
- Review blocked orders, credit limits, payment behavior, and customer master data.
- Act as a finance contact for customers regarding invoices, payments, statements, and order-to-cash inquiries.
- Support partner rebate, incentive, and claim back programs.
- Prepare and improve reports such as open orders, daily sales, customer performance, and sell-out data.
- Support regional sales teams with daily operations and commercial activities.
Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely compliance with provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, Income Tax Act, GST laws, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate filing of statutory returns, forms, and reports with regulatory authorities.
- Monitor compliance calendars and ensure timely submission of required documents.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and supporting documentation.
- Review and monitor TDS/TCS deductions and deposits.
- Ensure timely filing of TDS returns and issue of TDS certificates.
- Assist in corporate income tax compliance and assessments.
- Coordinate responses to notices received from tax authorities.
- Review GST input tax credit reconciliations.
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns and payment of taxes.
- Support GST audits, assessments, and departmental inquiries.
- Monitor compliance with GST provisions relating to vendors and customers.
Regulatory and Corporate Compliance:
- Liaise with external consultants, Company Secretaries, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in board meeting, committee meeting, and shareholder meeting compliance requirements.
- Support maintenance of corporate records and regulatory filings.
Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and audit support documents.
- Facilitate audit queries and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Track implementation of audit recommendations.
- risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
- Professional degree in accounting, Finance, Chartered Accountant.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to book-to-report processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial regulations.
- Experience in commercial finance, accounts receivable, credit management, and cash-flow management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across regions.
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel is preferred.
