About this Opportunity
We are looking for a Commercial Director who leads by example, inspires trust, and confidently guides cross-functional teams through complex and evolving commercial landscapes. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Management (CU ENA), this role will be based in Algeria to support all our business in East and North Africa.
The main purpose of this position is to support and enable commercial objectives including pricing, contracted terms & conditions, sales process governance, and high impact ways of working. You will partner with the account team and all relevant Ericsson units to define/develop/enhance new business models and commercial strategies to secure growth while safeguarding prices, margins and flow.
What You Will Do
  • Shape and implement forward-looking commercial strategies to drive profitability and growth
  • Responsible for E2E (pre- & post-sales) commercial management within the account
  • Foster a culture of commercial excellence by streamlining processes, sharing best practices, and applying market insights
  • Support sales team in customer negotiations. Interface and support complex, face-to-face negotiations with customer procurement and be actively part of the negotiation team leading the commercial agenda
  • Support sales team in defining Commercial Proposal Strategy
  • Be part of a Community of Commercial Managers and share standard methodologies
  • Work closely with assigned Price Managers. Develop and deploy price/business models and commercial directives. Innovate pricing and business models in response to changing customer dynamics, leveraging mobile telecom systems expertise
  • Monitor and coordinate the contractual terms & conditions with support of assigned Contract Manager
  • Secure the right commercials, in line with Ericsson commercial strategy (Value based Pricing, Discounts, Incentives, payment terms and T&Cs), for all the offers and secure balanced approach to prioritized business opportunities to deliver on financial plan
  • Approve customer offers and ensure sales process adherence
  • Contribute to identify improvement areas and simplifications
  • Support the sales team with robust commercial proposals and ensure readiness for high-impact deals
  • Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers, the Contract Manager, technical solution teams and other stakeholders to ensure end-to-end commercial clarity and success
  • Continuously monitor and refine contracts, pricing logic and strategies, and T&Cs to proactively address risks
  • Engage with a community of Commercial Directors, contributing fresh ideas and solutions
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and shape offerings that add value for customers while strengthening Ericsson's position

Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, or Engineering
  • Proficient in French and English
  • 8+ years in commercial roles, with background in customer facing roles (Key Account Management or Sales Leadership)
  • Demonstrated success in direct negotiations, including complex and high-stakes customer situations
  • Proven knowledge of HW, SW, Services pricing, contracting, and end-to-end mobile telecom systems portfolio
  • Financial, commercial, and procurement expertise balanced by long-term strategic vision
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset combined with hands-on problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong presence and ability to influence customers, internal teams, and top management
  • Track record of operating independently, even in demanding environments and challenging business contexts
  • Ability to understand technical solutions in depth and translate them into compelling commercial offers
  • Market knowledge, competitor insight, and familiarity with Middle east and Africa Telecom Operators is a plus
